Information regarding upcoming changes to our MGSD Student Information System (SIS)

Dear Mooresville Graded School District Families,

We are writing to inform you about an important upcoming change to our student information system (SIS). Effective for the 2025 - 2026 school year, the Mooresville Graded School District (MGSD) will be transitioning from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus as our official student data management platform. This transition is a statewide initiative by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction aimed at enhancing the way schools manage student information.

Infinite Campus is a comprehensive student information system designed to enhance data security and provide a more robust platform for managing student attendance, grades, schedules, and other vital information.  In the following weeks, you will receive detailed directions regarding setting up your Infinite Campus parent account. This account is necessary for existing families to update their student’s information for the 2025 - 2026 school year. 

Our goal is to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to your access to important student information. We are committed to keeping you informed and supported throughout this process, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this transition. Rest assured, this will not affect our use of ParentSquare for our communication needs or Canvas for student assignments and grades.  Both of these platforms will continue to be utilized.
